Ray: Weblog Policy

by Volker Weber

A number of people at Groove have started blogs,... Of course, there are many questions that arise when an employer encourages employees to operate more "in the open", and so our counsel, Jeff Seul, has taken a first pass at creating a "blog policy".

IANAL, but this looks very reasonable to me. It is also interesting that many of those weblogs were created around the time that version 2.1 was released. I would not be surprised if Groove Networks tries to ride the weblog wave as a means of marketing. Almost everyone of the bloggers crosslinks to the other blogs, so it is somewhat self-referencing. No matter whether that is the secret agenda, I think it is still a very good idea. It will be interesting to see how they handle things that are not so much in favor of the company.
