Public service announcement

After reading this week's c't about the gaping holes in Internet Explorer that have not been fixed by Microsoft, I decided to do something. You just can't turn away and let this happen. So if you are still using Internet Explorer with Active Scripting turned on, you will get this message at the top of the weblog:
Of course, if you turn Active Scripting off, most websites will break for you. So your data may be safe but Internet Explorer will render itself useless on most sites.
There is an alternative: Install Mozilla and experience for yourself how much better it is. You actually cannot uninstall Internet Explorer and you don't even want to bother. Just let it sit there and ignore it. It won't do any harm if you are not surfing the web with it. If you ever run into a site you absolutely trust and that won't work with Mozilla you can still fall back to Internet Exploder .
Attention web masters: This is the code you want to steal for your website. Place it anywhere you like to see this message:

sehr schön, sehr schön :-) mal schauen, welcher blog dieses feature als erstes hemmungslos kopiert ;-)
Will nur noch ne Lanze für Opera brechen. Ich nutze jetzt die Beta der Version 7 und habe keine Site mehr gefunden mit der Opera Problem hat (sogar die DNUG Seite funktioniert)
http://www.opera.com
Haiko, go ahead. Not rocket science.
jcf, Opera kann man auch nehmen. Habe ich auch mal. Aber Mozilla ist mir irgendwie sympatischer. Dabei ist Opera vielleicht sogar besser ...
