Ben, I am surprised you get the joke in German. Do you have some hidden qualifications?
I wish. French is the only language I can vaguely speak other than English. My Latin is pretty rubbish, my Spanish restricted to asking for a beer and saying hello. As for German, well my understanding of that is almost nil.
This joke is understandable to a non-German speaker though; the only text I couldn't figure out is the subject line :-)
Ben, You might translate the subject as "ecological desktop"
One should not explain a joke but we will make an exception. "Öko" is our word for environmentalists. So this would be their workspace. In the picture you see:
Part time workspace, and five waste baskets for different materials.
So we have a person that does not really work that much but makes sure he disposes his trash in the most complicated fashion. And the real fun is that it all ends up in the same dumpster. :-)
