Beautiful

Don't browse through his pictures too quickly. Each of them tells a story and you need to let it sink in a bit. This is a testimonial that it doesn't take a 5 megapixel image but rather an excellent photographer.

Wow. Those are wonderful photos! Matt Stuart obviously has a great eye and a whimsical mind - a joyous combination. It would appear that for some of these shots he must have seen the potential in a given setting and waited for just the right opportunity - and/or he's always got the camera at the ready. Beautiful.

That's what I was wondering about - which of those photos were somewhat "staged" and which were actually lucky shots.

Either way - great photography.

His photos are remarkable. He seems to indicate that these are actual street photographs, not staged. That seems hard to believe as some of them are so clever.

Some are definitely post-processed. The one with the darkened face under the hood and the cigarette for example. If you look closely, you will find some pixel artefacts around the cigarette. Some other situatuions, like the head in the wheelbarrow, pass by in a matter of split seconds - he may have seen the opportunity and asked the workers to do it again for a shot, though.

But as I said, those are very creative shots nevertheless.
Bookmarked.

Great stuff. But why the heck does his site reformat my browser page?! I hate that!
