Apparently some people paint their Windows in Mac colors. They don't get it. Design is more than skin deep.

that's probably for those of us who really would rather be using a mac, but because of software limitations (sametime?), can't.

Heh heh. Well, I d’loaded ObjectDock for my work ThinkPad, and I rather like it.
I don’t use it in the same way as on my Mac, I just park my lesser-used apps plus the docklet clock in there, and set it to auto-hide. I still use the normal Windoze task bar, but that’s to the left of my screen, and ObjectDock is at the bottom.
It’s a nice implementation of the functionality, but ultimately, as you say, lipstick on a pig ;o)
BTW Jon, there are a couple of Sametime implementations for the Mac out there:
