Anyone know if that's really the band "Survivor"? Seems like they should be playing the geriatric circuit by now with "Eye of the Tiger".
Also, the bus in the commercial has the Boston "T" logo, though everything else appears to have been genericized.

Google says their site is survivormusic.com. There are no good pictures online but the persons in that flash intro could be the same like those in this ad.

They'll have a gig in Chicago Ridge on 7/25/04 so you can go look for yourself.

The lead singer certainly looks like the guy in Survivor, yes.

Oliver, I can think of no better way to spend my wedding anniversary than at a Survivor concert. :O

I'd say, that are the real members of "survior". Here's a better picture of the band: http://www.anitashomestylecatering.com/anitawband2.jpg

It's one of the best commercials I've seen the last years. I wished Starbucks would'nt be so *beep* expensive here in germany.

Yes, that is really Survivor. BTW, I played this, and my 13 yr old daughter began singing it - not the original song, but the COMMERCIAL. She knew it by heart, saying she has seen it quite a few times. It cracked me up...

Does Starbucks use the same roast in Germany, I wonder? I avoid them here because, to me, it tastes like they've almost burned the coffee.

(If you're into coffee, or even if you're not, I'll recommend _Uncommon Grounds_, a really great book about the coffee industry. Very entertaining, educational, and a heck of an excuse to drink more coffee.)

Starbucks coffee product is remarkably consistent around the world. What changes considerably based on geography is the food for sale - baked goods, sandwiches, etc.

Yes that is Survivor !! Hahahaha ! That song was great ! Great Commercial, the best one i've seen this year !

I'm sure it's the real Survivor...However, I can find out all the details in a week as my new job is at the ad agency (Fallon Worldwide) that came up with that commercial for Starbucks. They have some great ideas.

The link now seems to points to a non-existant page - seems I missed it... anybody still have the file or an alternate link ?

Still working for me.

Who is Glen? WHatis his real name? i love him and he's my idol.. if you know please e-mail me!
