REUTERS reports:
Secretary of State Colin Powell said on Tuesday he was concerned that sweeping political changes to fight terrorism proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin would erode Russia's democratic reforms.
I would be more concerned about the policital changes at home.

Absolutely !!!

Introspection is not a quality often found in the US government.
Soon Russia and America will be fighting each other over who can have first 'preventive' strikes on 'terrorist' countries (who'll also contain oil / uranium / whatever is attractive for their respective countries to maintain their internal balance).
I know, I know, I'm being cynical, but that's sometimes a survival trait !
I don't think you are being cynical Alex. That's exactly the reason why the US (and allies) should never have attacked Iraq without the UN approval: it gives other countries a justification to do the same with their perpetual enemies.
As an American, I agree completely.
couldn't agree more sir. i wish it were not so. holding out hope that we'll at least see the end of the current administration soon.
