Heute auf dem Marktplatz in Darmstadt: Die örtliche Niederlassung stellt den neuesten kleinsten BMW vor. Gibt's nur mit Vierzylinder, dafür aber mit allen Extras. Den hier habe ich besonders ins Herz geschlossen. Knapp 40 Tausend für eine Hasenkiste. Und schon mal zugelassen, damit dann zweite Hand.
Zwei Zylinder mehr, zwei Sitze weniger, 4000 Euro mehr. Und schon hat man ein Auto.

that is way more expensive than the (admittedly few) advanced reviews I've read of the BMW 1-series have projected it to cost. I can't struggle through the German on the window sticker, but it does look like a ridiculous nmumber of options: over €9000 worth.
Maybe that's why BMW has no plans to bring this car to the US market -- $47,000+ = a Z4, an M3, but a 1-series? Seems quite silly. In the US, the base price of the Boxster is $43K.
And as you can see in the URL Porsche even use the right web engine ;-)

Ed, the base price is 23800. The total is 39140. So, the balance for the options* is 15340. The base price covers four wheels, the body and the engine. Everything else is an option.
*) All car makers charge S&H extra. But the VAT is included.

Das Problem mit dem "base price Boxster" hast Du ja selber erklärt:
"The base price covers four wheels, the body and the engine. Everything else is an option."
So macht Porsche-fahren dann auch keinen Spass.
Aber 35.000 für einen Golf V, 39.000 für einen 1er, das ist schon lächerlich. Ich habe mich vor ca. 6 Jahren schon über einen Polo für 33.000 DM (!) aufgeregt.
Jörg. Bei dem "nackten" Boxster bin ich anderer Ansicht.
wobei ich es mindestens genau so frech finde, einen opel corsa mit guter ausstattung (1,7cdti) für über 25 000 euro verkaufen zu wollen... irgendwie fehlen da die relationen....
Also wenn ich mir schon ne Hasenkiste kaufe, dann doch bitte sowas:
Alfa 147 GTA 147 3.2 V6 24V Selespeed, 184 Kilowatt oder 250 Pferdchen.
Ausstattung so mit allen Schnackes (Leder/Sportsitze, Xenon Scheinwerfer, grosse Navi, dicke Schühchen usw.).
Summe: etwas mehr als 35.000 Euros. Aber gestern, da habe ich so einen auf der A3 gesehen wie Er einen neuen 5er BMW vor sich her geprügelt hat, alles jenseits der 200er Marke ...
