"if you wear a suit, I don´t mind". I guess this was the first funny thing I read when I entered your site a few years ago. And you continued the "suit & tie bashing". Well, I must admit: There are situations when wearing a suit is not realy an option ;-)
That would be where I have been going wrong all these years...
I saw John Landry at last weekend's Penumbra meeting. He was wearing a suit AND a tie. I said, "John, you are WAY overdressed for this event." He said, "Knowing YOU were going to be here, I should have brought a hawaiian shirt."
Then he took off the suit coat and loosened the tie. Another victory for software engineering!
