If you like Ta-Da List you should check out Backpack as well. This service however is not entirely free:
I mean, you would not actually expect that to be free. It's just interesting how this company takes a good application like Basecamp and spins off other interesting products from the same technology.

Blogger.com was spun off by PyraLab while creating some sort of project management & collaboration platform.
Flickr was spun off by Ludicorp and was meant to be some sort of feature for their online game "Game Neverending".
I see a pattern here.
Of course. There is a WHOLE LOT more potential customers for Backpack than for Basecamp.
