Arcor schon wieder auf Schleichfahrt

Einmal ist keinmal. Nun aber geht Arcor schon zum zweiten Mal diese Woche auf Schleichfahrt. Und wie es ausschaut, bin ich wieder nicht der Einzige mit diesem Problem. Was ist da los? Das ging monatelang ohne Probleme.

Es scheint einige grundsätzliche Probleme im Netzausbaus zu geben. Vor einigen Wochen hat sich hier in Berlin der DNS nahezu verabschiedet, für fast 48 Stunden.
Die Hotline gab als Grund an, dass Berlin nahe am Limit agiere, man schon mehrere Monate Probleme habe und nun als erstes die Verbindung zum DNS überlastet sei. Als Schmankerl gab es noch den Hinweis, dass man auch einen Totalausfall nicht ausschließen könnte. Das war ehrlich, weitergebracht hat mich der Hinweis allerdings auch nicht.
Ein Wechsel ist hier im Büro leider nicht so ganz unproblematisch, weil der Telefonanschluß vom Vermieter kommt, der sein eigenes internes Telefonnetz betreibt. Das bedeutet, dass der DSL Provider ein zweites mal "geschaltet" werden muß, was mit Zeit und Kosten verbunden ist. Wenn die Versorgung in Zukunft allerdings weiterhin unzuverlässig ist, werden wir diesen Aufwand wohl betreiben müssen.
