Jamming
by Volker Weber
Here are some photos I took at the Lotusphere 2006 JAMFest. It was infuckingcredibly loud, but people were having a hell of a time. If you missed it Monday night, then try again tonight at the Swan dining tent between 7pm and 11pm.

What lens did you use?

Nikon 80mm/f1.8
Your pictures are simply stunning. Is it the equipment or the person handling the equipment? :-)
Probably both. I could not have done this without the equipment. But I have a different style than Declan for instance, as I try to hide the fact that I am using a flash.
isn't it more like the 50mm/1.8 you purchased some time ago?
it should be 75mm on your D70 and why does the exif data says it's "FocalLength = 850/10"?
the only nikkor 80mm (a f2.8) was discontinued in 1986.
I stand corrected. It is the 85mm/1.8, an amazing lens that Ute borrowed for this trip.
Wow, sounds like an amazing event. I start to wonder wether I really was at the right place this January... ;-)
Oh, and a question: Was it really jamming, i.e. could anybody from the audience walk up and join stage? If so... damn would I have liked to be there.
Yes, it was.
Thanks for the JAMFest Photos.... I'm the asian guy in the blue shirt that played the stratocaster from the first night.
-Carlos :-)
Like here, Carlos? We had a great time. Thanks for playing.
