Reading vowe.net can be expensive
by Volker Weber
This is a small "tongue in cheek" post. My friend Schweppes has always said, that it can be quite expensive to know me. On the other hand Stefan can attest that you can save and even make quite some money because of the same thing.
Today I heard that another friend has just bought a Sonos starter pack. This pushes the number of Sonos players bought after reading my review to 22. And those are only the ones I know of. I also know four people who are sitting on the fence to buy in, three of them looking at four players each.
Consider yourself warned.

It would be expensive, if not for my financial controller...shes cute too!
Actually I have bought equipment for work purposes after reading about them here...I just haven't worked out how Sonos fits into "work purposes".
It’s true, if you read vowe.net you have to be strong :o)
Well, if my home would be larger and I had the funding, I would certainly go and get myself one of those as well. Looking at a time horizon of maybe a year, maybe less, I might be in the game as well. Now, does that count? Even more: does that matter? If so, to whom besides me? ;-)
I plead guilty for one case of being "forced" to get a new phone
(Nokia 9300 Smartphone) reading Volker's review - but consider this to be only the beginning...:-)
Ah. I have my wife - "She Who Must Be Obeyed".. I cant spend *any* cash, and our house is too big to outfit with Sonos. I just wander around with my iPod...
Thank god...

Well, thank God I am a student so reading vowe.net isn't too damaging for me - and if I am able to get one of those "financial controllers" after graduation, it looks like I can prevent any further harm. =)
vowe, you can add one more to your list of people being highly interested in buying one - once the house is completely finished.
Indeed. Especially since you posted your shots with the N70 I am toying with getting one myself.
You can add me to the list of potential Sonos purchasers, although I was toying with the idea before your review..
Dont get me started on how "bad" you are for my pocket.
Well, we're still sitting on the fence - my financial controller thinks the user interface needs polishing a little more before she'll be completely happy. We're definately keeping an eye on Sonos at the moment! Still, I bought a Palm Treo 650 this week, having read about it here some time ago (Yes, I'm not on the bleeding edge of technology, I know!)...
John, Sonos is software-upgradable. Ruth should be happy now and then. :-)
For sure it's expensive!: I spend my time in reading this guy :-D .
Is just like paying a high bill for a famous doctor. It's Expensive, but it's very good.
.::AleX::.
vowe, that's (software upgrades) exactly what we're watching for...
Then things are going to get much more expensive than a Treo phone :-)
Sonos has not announced any. The only thing that I want fixed is the touchwheel. It is missing accelaration.
Actually, I got my 9300 for exactly the same 3 reasons I´ve read in your initial post: iCal, Agenda compatibility and traffic guidance.
You just so happen to have the same requirements like I do, Volker :-) The distribution of music I have solved years ago by using a mixture of Airport- and other wireless transmission, as neither in the kitchen nor in the bathroom I need much more than listen to B5 or my occasional internet radio, HiFi not necessary. I hardly live in my living room and rather listen to the CDs I have there, together wit a high end HiFi system.
No need to indulge in investment of soviet design iPods in any shape or form. Also the steep price is even stopping me from reading about it much in detail. But consider a comission very much deserved, hopefully they understand at Sonos the influence of one of the best sites we have here.
