NeoOffice Aqua now available for free
by Volker Weber
NeoOffice Aqua is now available as Beta 3 for Intel and PowerPC Macs. This brings you OpenOffice.org 2.0.3 to the Mac, while maintaining a Mac look&feel.

This is cool stuff. Much nicer than the older NeoOffice/J 1.
It'll be interesting to see if this gets any kind of promotion, whether grass roots or otherwise, within the Mac community. Saves people a bunch of money if they don't have to purchase MSFT Office.....
NeoOffice is so cool. I just downloaded and installed it. I'm new to the Mac world and I'm loving it. My biggest complaints to date are that office runs really slowly on the Intel mac, and the current Notes client is well, not good. Anyway lets see if NeoOffice can change some of that.
Would be interested to know how are you finding it Volker?
Frankly, I never really liked StarOffice and its open sourced version OpenOffice.org. NeoOffice is the best free office suite you can get for the Mac, so it is worth reporting. I have installed it so I can read ODF files when necessary, but I am not working with it.
