BlackBerry Connect for Treo 750v

BlackBerry Connect for the Treo 750v is out. This time you can also use it with BlackBerry Internet Service. Go get the German version here. From what I gather, it only syncs Mail, and for BES users also calendar and processes invitations. No address book sync over the air though. You need to do this with your local PC over ActiveSync.
Getting this screenshot done took more time than it was worth. For a simple reason: Windows Mobiles and Macs don't match. If you want a Windows Mobile, make sure you have a PC with Windows around.

Was war das Problem mit dem Screenshot? Konntest Du die Datei nicht syncen, oder hattest Du kein geeignetes Tool auf dem Palm? Wenn Du noch keinen g'scheiten Bildbetrachter hast, schau Dir mal den von Resco an (http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/photoviewer/indepth.asp#) - der enthält als Goody auch ein Screenshot-Tool.
Danke für den Tip, Wolfgang. Mein Problem war, dass ich erstens keinen Überblick über das Angebot der Tools hatte und zweitens keins finden konnte, dass sich auch als .CAB herunterladen ließ. Ich hatte noch SmartSS, aber das funktioniert nicht auf dem Treo. Dann habe ich über eine der Aggregatorseiten Capture Screen Utility gefunden, dort aber nur einen Executable Installer bekommen. Also musste ich mir einen PC schnappen, eine VM klonen, dort ActiveSync installieren, um das kleine Programm aufzuspielen. Später habe ich dann gesehen, dass auf der Seite des Entwicklers auch eine .CAB-Version war. :-(
Seit der Installation von BlackBerry Connect und CapSrcUtil kann ich jetzt keine Bilder mehr über Bluetooth übertragen. Das war vorher schon mühselig, weil die Option nur für Einzelbilder, nicht aber für mehrere selektierte angeboten wurde. Jetzt ist sie ganz weg.
Das verstecken von .CABs in einem Installer ist eine Unsitte. Für Windows-User gibt's folgenden Workaround: Tool per Installer aufspielen, dann wird meistens auf der Festplatte eine Kopie der CAB-Datei hinterlegt - bloß wo? Sehr oft findet man in c:/programme/microsoft activesync den entsprechenden Ordner, manchmal wird aber auch unter c:/programme ein Ordner angelegt. Ganz fiese legen die CABs nur temporär ab, man muss dann nach dem start des installers das temp-verzeichnis durchsuchen.
so kannst du dir deine wichtigen tools auf einer sd-karte sammeln und hast sie dann für die zukunft schnell greifbar.
Und nicht vergessen: CAB-files mit schreibschutz-attribut versehen, denn sonst löschen sie sich nach der installation auf dem pocket pc und du fängst wieder von vorne an.
Schön, wenn man sich in Windows seine Workaround-Sammlung angelegt hat, dann fühlt man sich in Windows Mobile gleich heimisch. Is' auch 'ne Art Konsistenz.
Weist du, ob PocketMac 4 mit irgendeinem BBC (Palm/Win Mobile/Symbian) funzt?
PocketMac 4 (for Blackberry) ist für BlackBerry handhelds. BBC ist "nur" ein Transport zwischen Palm/Windows Mobile/Symbian und einem BIS oder BES. Du brauchst als Ergänzung eine lokale Synchronisation zwischen PC oder Mac und Palm/Windows Mobile/Symbian. Und diese PocketMac-Version ist dazu eben gerade nicht passend.
