How long would you last?

I loved the sardonic laugh of the fat black guy with the hat on the street ...

Wow, that was quite a serious breakdown he had.

Me, personally? Phone - take it away, baby, I hate them all. Including Skype phone. Email & Internet? I'll go down like a ton of bricks in two days.

I wouldn't last for half a day without a unix console.

Some times it is better to be without your BlackBerry:

Even more amazing is the headline: "A week with no technology". Normal phones are not even considered to be technology any more.

I feel exactly like Adeleida.

Volker is ahead the times. Today heise gives an account of the Shutdown Day

How long could I last without the electronic leashes? The rest of my life. :) I never take anything electronic with me on vacation. Ive been gone for up to 4 weeks at a time and I'm not antsy, I'm relieved.

Charles, vacations don't count. We are talking work days here.

In a corporate environment it is virtually impossible to live with these technologies. I could stay at home and it wouldn't make a difference. privately, I could always live without any kind of phone, even email usually is not vital (sometimes there is an exeption).
Personally, I just need web access. If i read an article and don't know someting, I want to have access to wikipedia, dict.leo.or, abkuerzungen.de... All personal transactions need web access: banking, shopping...
This is almost a basic quality of living, being able to have access to information sources, that used to be paper-based.
Whatever, imagine, would you have a problem with the complete lack of IT-tech when you are on a Caribean island? Me? No.
