I can beat that:

370 Direct contacts
81.782 Contacts of my contacts
1.023.914 3rd degree contacts

Size does not matter for productivity. But I have three kids and one third of Xing... ;-)

Now that's interesing: with only one tenth of vowe's contacts one quarter of the subscriber base. Still some way to go :-)
80: 1st degree
9.404: 2nd degree
513.401: 3rd degree

Maybe it's a European thing. But I have only a couple of contacts on Xing and 132 on LinkedIn (first degree).

I haven't found Xing useful since you need to be a paid subscriber to get any data at all.

Well, I don’t know anyone :-p

See, that's the point, Ben - you could get to know someone ;-)

If Ben needs to meet somebody he just asks. :-)

:-D I was a member of both Xing and LinkedIn for quite some time, but they didn’t really work out for me. I appreciate that others have had different experience.

I'm with you, Ben. Maybe we can create a group for NotLinkedIn. :-)

So it's not always as "linear" as in my case, interesting. Your curve shows some saturation, as can be expected when half the user base (all of the active user base?) is included.

As most of my articles roll off the front page rather quickly, I am making an archive of previous posts available here. You can also use the handy search box at the top of the page if you are looking for something particular.
