Sonos drives down prices

ZonePlayer 80 now 349, ZonePlayer 100 at 499, Controller at 399, bundle of all three 999. Bad news for Europeans: these numbers are either Euro or Dollar.

Should you be travelling to the US, the bundle could be had for around 750 Euro, which would be a steal.

And at the border they make you pay 249 Euro on top.
It's ridiculous that so many companies use a 1 to 1 Dollars-Euro exchange course for the price of their products - wake up, the Dollar became a cheap currency.

Well, first you need to add the VAT, which accounts for 150 of those Euros. But your point is well taken.

I would really like to have some of these, but they are currently way to expensive. Especially the $/€ 400 price for the controller ...

Looks like i will wait a few more years for something like that.

The controller is in fact a little linux machine. And in the bundle, the controller is only 150. :-) If you don't want it, you can also use the software controller from your PC or Mac.

The controller is the nice piece which i especially would want. Currently i have a Pinnacle ShowCenter for audio and video, and no way to select the music i want to hear without starting the TV (or, in my case, the beamer). So having a controller where i can browse my collection is THE great thing about the Sonos for me. And yes, the new bundle with two players and one controller is a better offer. Still expensive for audio only. If only the player could also be used to play video and display h.264. :)
