Movable Type Open Source
by Volker Weber
As of today, and forever forward, Movable Type is open source. This means you can freely modify, redistribute, and use Movable Type for any purpose you choose.
Three years ago, Movable Type was king of the hill. When 3.0 came out, the company alienated the user base through a new licensing scheme. It was then that b2/cafelog was reborn as Wordpress. The rest is history.

And I really dislike my Wordpress but cannot grow friend with Movable Type either. I hope the upcoming Software "Habari" will satisfy me.
Apparently, nobody is using Blojsom... :-(
@Volker: Are you going to stay with MT forever?
@Martin Hiegl: Habari looks good, but the dev team is way too small, I guess.
Forever? No. For the time being, yes. I see no benefit in migrating anywhere else. MT is the perfect mix of features and performance.
Is it three years already? Gosh. I must be getting old :o)
I've gotten quite comfortable with WordPress. Happy to use it.
To each his own, I guess.
