That's all for Notes @ IBM

Please do not forget the DNUG booth next to IBM. IBM is also showing Lotus at the DNUG booth.
Olaf, that wouldn't make as good of a headline or clickthrough. Most English-speaking readers won't even know that vowe is describing the CeBIT tradeshow.
OMG, Notes is dead.
The software is so powerfull that it dont even need a powerpoint slide to sell itself.
Oh come on it's not that bad. Isn't it obvious? They've gone for the coffee every one tells them to have when they load notes 8, and as a responsible energy efficient German they turned the screen off whilst they were gone.
Carl, I think a better description is "Demo of IBM's new hide from vowe technology in use".
It's the opposite of the Windows High Contrast setting running on the new IBM thin as air laptop, so thin you can't see it!
Its just a demo to show the power of sametime.
the demo is being run from Ed's home office on the big screen somewhere
Its not like you really need to be there to demo sametime
"Collaboration Solutions on Linux"
Wow, that sounds cool, as if Linux is the only platform it runs on! Someone who is not so familiar with Notes might wonder if IBM will also make a Windows and Mac version of Lotus Notes someday...
I wonder what we can't see in the picture, were the booths to side of this one packed with people maybe running Notes on Windows? What time was the picture taken?
@Carl,
Tradeshow rule no. 1 - Always man your booth.
I don't think the tradeshow floor was even open at CeBIT today. @vowe probably had some early access for press. The show officially opens tomorrow.
The tradeshow is wide open on press day. Everybody can just walk in. The picture was taken before IBM Germany CEO Martin Jetter hosted a two hour booth tour for the media. Hours later there was no change.
It probably does not make a difference anyway since the press colletaral only mentions Notes and Domino as an "also ran" in one brief sentence. No need to beat up the person who could have manned this one demo point.
It's not the point of the picture anyway. It's just a pointer for those trying to find Notes at IBM. Hence the large booth number. And to answer the question: As one can see in the background there are flocks of people on the booth floor. During the tour it was quite packed actually.
I wonder if Volker had a hidden message to tell us by taking the photo with the "RISE ORATION" text visible :)
I checked on webster.com, and "oration" means "prayer" or to "consult an oracle".
... pretty sure there is more available on this booth....
Anyone seriously in doubt can send me a mail.
