Maybe I am getting old or just not hip to Twitter, but I honestly have no clue what point you are trying to make? It seems there are times when you just post a few words and a link and I have to admit it's confusing as to the point you are trying to make.

HELP ME HELP YOU UNDERSTAND YOU?

David, if you watch a Twitter stream, you will find people writing "@vowe, are you going to be at #Lotusphere" instead of "vowe, are you going to be at Lotusphere". The @-sign is easy to understand. It points to a different Twitter id. But the #-mark is not. As you can see, it serves as an embedded tag, which can be aggregated: see all tweets related to this #.

David, Twitter is nothing to understand or comprehend, it's just something to do. Cem tried to describe it (German), but it's always just aspects of the phenomenon. I don't really get it myself, but I like it more and more. And since i can twitter from Lotus Notes without interrupting whatever I'm doing I begin to love it.

The has-tags help to define your tweet and to bring it into context. Some twitterers are able to use it as an art.

For the younger readers...

@vowe, r y going 2 b @ #LS?

That is just one site that looks at the support for hashtags inside of Twitter. As more of the Lotus community gets in to start following and reading, they will get it.

Also, I use Terraminds quite extensively when looking for things
