Don't click here. Don't.

by Volker Weber

Ok, I knew you would. Be strong. And don't dare clicking here. (Link removed now)

Update: This was a little game to make Ben Langhinrichs lead the "What's Hot" on PlanetLotus:

benishot

Now I wish I could remove this posting from that site. Genie is out of the bottle, I guess. But thanks for not clicking. :-)

Comments

I didn't click! I didn't even comment! And I don't admit!

Well, but it's true, the most mysterious titles get the most clicks. It's a built-in feature of the human species, and many other species too. Curiosity makes things move.

It only works short term. Readers learn quickly which sources to ignore. Mysterious titles with lame posting piss people off quickly.

Not for me, I never ignore any content of people. I might miss something if I did. Someone might on purpose behave like the most annoying person on earth, and then make a post: who comments first on this, gets 1 million euro!

Hopefully Ben's ads on PlanetLotus are now paying off :-)

@Bruce, maybe next month it'll have a IdeaJam ad on it? :).

On a slightly different note:

Last night I watched the movie untraceable in a cinema here in Zurich. While I found the movie absolutely awful, it still makes you think about clicking around in the WWW. (my significant other found it good, so I guess it's yours to decide)

Shall I remember this for you?
