Will the Chief Happiness Officer attend?
Unpopular as it is in many quarters, McDonalds is a fascinating business. I read this book a few years ago and still return to it occasionally to remind myself of some of the insights to be found there. Perhaps McDs has lost its way slightly since the first edition of that book but the book contains lessons for us all on many contemporary management topics including finance, governance, group learning and PR.
As for what's being served. Nothing. The caterers are all out at a conference.
To directly answer the question, there are various McD products available from a test kitchen (yesterday the new M burger from Germany was offered), or there is traditional catering available on the convention floor, all included in the price of admission.
And yes, the Chief Happiness Officer opened the first session.
