Why build something like this? Probably just because you can.

Well, if they must build something like this, they could at least get it right.

- I want to hear an old fashioned dial tone (brrrrrr) when the app starts (i.e. the rotary 'phone goes off hook).

- Most importantly, I want to hear the correct number of loop disconnect clicks for each number dialed - 1 click for 1 up to 10 clicks for 0. The noise of the dial moving back seems to be the same here regardless of the number dialed.

- After the first number is dialed, the dial tone should stop and be replaced by low level white noise.

- After the last number is dialed, there should be a pause and some random clicking before the ringing (or engaged, or unobtainable etc) tone is heard.

For the elderly?
