Notes.ini parameter RunFaster=1 is finally here
by Volker Weber
It's called UseBasicNotes=1 though.

RunFaster=1 is deprecated
I've been using IgnoreEclipseBloatware=1
Sorry. I mean c:\program files\ibm\lotus\notes\notes.exe -basic
Same difference.
But that's only because RunFasterButWithSomewhatLimitedFunctionality=1 would have been a pain to type.
@Joerg - there's nothing I can't do with the "run faster" switch enabled...what additional functionality are you talking about?
@Chris - Isn't the command line switch to start the standard client in basic mode "-sa" ?
@Andy -sa or -basic.
Both work and are supported.
The .ini file setting is better than changing the shortcut. ie, it forces Notes to run in "run faster" mode should you launch a Notes URL, click a mailto link etc.
@Colin: And VI beats Word at any time, isn't it?
