I was just about to order a MBP but Bruce told me to hold it for a week.

Remember, you guys have newer Macbooks than I do. :-)
It’s always good to have a back-up machine, especially when said computer is your primary workhorse.
That’s my excuse, and I’m sticking to it :-)
I just hope they will finally come up with a real nomadic 11-12' device again.
current 13' macbooks are just awfully chunky to travel with. my shoulder could tell you a story about that.
and hopefully the new babies will come with standard connectivity.
the air thing simply is too crippled.

I have the Air and I don't mind the lack of ports.
Most of the time WiFi and Bluetooth do the trick, only problem is when I need a CD player.
For those of you planning to upgrade please note that I will happily, uh, "dispose of" your old machines at no charge ;-).

Not the best time to spend cash, but I need SOMETHING to replace the 1st Gen 12" PB (867)!
If anyone's interested in 2.2GHz 4GB RAM MacBook from early 2008 at "some" charge... I'd love to heat up Apple's cash flow as well as mine :)
