Location, location, location

by Bruce Elgort

As the old saying goes when purchasing real estate it's all about "location, location, location". Well Steve Jobs and his Apple Inc. retail stores are always very meticulous about where their retail outlets are located. One thing that I have noticed by shear accident and have since verified is that most Apple retail stores are directly next to Victoria's Secret women's fashion stores.

While this seems to be the case in the United States I wanted to reach out to a global audience to see where Apple places its retails stores in your country.

The store placement actually works quite well. Yesterday while I was shopping in the Apple store my wife headed over to Victoria's Secret. She does this no matter which Apple store we visit. I buy sexy computers and Apple gear while she buys sexy clothing.

And you win on both purchases, right, Bruce? :D

Sexy computers?

@Vowe - yes Apple gear is sexy.

"sheer" accident? :)

At the Crocker Park Apple Store, Westlake, OH, the Victoria's Secret store is around the corner and down the street a bit. As you can tell from the photo, we are not sure what will be opening next to the Apple Store.

To add to my previous comment, at the other Apple Store in the Cleveland area, Legacy Village, there isn't a Victoria's Secret even in the same mall. Next to this one, you have your choice of gelato, a smoothie, or Crate and Barrel.

As far as I know there is no Victoria's Secret store in Sydney, however we do have an Apple Store! It is down the road from the Queen Victoria Building though (which amongst other things contains a lot of womens fashion)!

Neither Apple store in Boston is near a Victoria Secret store. One is in a mall on a different floor, and the other flagship store is downtown not in a mall.

Wouldn't your lady friend like it more if you went to Victoria's Secret to buy sexy lingerie and she went to Apple to buy sexy gadgets? ;-)

@Kieren - y'mean they sell *that* sort of sexy gadget in the Apple Store? Is that part of the showroom by invitation only? I've never seen it! :)

But how can it be that the fourth Apple Store in Manhattan will be build in the place of a former Victoria's Secret store? Source: http://racked.com/archives/2008/11/10/storecasting_apples_core_revealed_on_the_uws.php

Sorry, to fast posting the link. Here it is in a nice form: 4th Apple Store in Manhattan.

And now this news about sexy things that make you itch

The only Apple Computer Store in Indiana, in Indianapolis is in the Keystone Fashion Mall.

The Apple Store is on the ground floor, the Victoria Secret store upstairs.

Although the Godiva store is pretty close to the Apple store....lol
