I stumbled this video last week. It's really astonishing how precise Ken Block drives around this track.
But there is one scene during the power drift on the circle, when the Subaru hits the track boundaries and you see the bumper crashing. Shortly after the crash, the bumper is alright, isn't it?

Very good but also very cleverly cut, I'm convinced he crashed that barrier once.

It's probably true that this is many takes edited together --- still, I couldn't do it. It shows real skill.

I never really understood the skills required to drive really high powered racers until I saw the Top Gear episode where they put a someone who is a very highly skilled amateur -- one of the hosts -- behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car. While not a professional driver, this is a guy with many hours experience driving high performance street cars at speed on tracks. He could barely manage to make the car go around the track at all -- let alone trying for a fast time. It was astonishing.

Incredible! But - one thing is missing: the final take should have shown the tires AFTER the run!

Clearly several takes....just note the number of different positions of the onboard external camera when seen from the wide shots [front left wheel arch, rear right window and roof are 3 at least]. Pretty impressive all the same.

I wonder if this would show up on a CARFAX report ?
