Nokia announces N97

I was hoping for the successor to the linux-based N810...
Sorry, that was the same shitty Design as the N79. It looks very cheap.
schon wieder ein iphone killer ;-)
THIS is the device I'd like to trade in my Storm for...not coming in time :-(
As it is I'm probably going to get an E71 (maybe subsidized if AT&T get that sorted before my 30-day return deadline on the Storm), and then get an Archos 605 for web surfing via the E71's Wi-Fi (and of course video, mp3, photos, etc.)
So that's the plan...unless Nokia needs any US-based testers for the N97 in, say the next 17 days. :-)
Interesting inclusion of a keyboard. Wonder what will happen with the communicator range.
I still think the Communicator is incredible, but outdated. It never had tri-band WCDMA high-speed data. (Never mind the price.)
Nokia also needs their own "App Store" if they have any hopes of competing long term in the smartphone space, at least here in the U.S. In Europe I realize they are still quite popular.
In the U.S. it's the iPhone or a BlackBerry. Pretty much everything else is minor player.
looks a bit like a SonyEricsson Xperia X1...
