Installing via the device does not work either.

there is a workaround, (not my stuff, got it from an italian forum):
step1:
download it from here
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XZ60YTNP (firmware 4.5 e 4.6)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8MX4DIU3 (storm with firmware 4.7)
step2:
connect your BB with your PC
unpack the .rar file into a temp folder
goto dos prompt and into the temp folder
step3:
type the following commands:
javaloader.exe -u load net_rim_bb_appworld.cod
(BB will soft reset)
load the appropriate language resource, for germany:
javaloader.exe -u load net_rim_bb_appworld_resource_de.cod
cool. And while you´re at it, mabe you´ll find it convenient to download the other jar as well? Just in case.

Mhhhhh. Everyone tells me how smooth and convenient everything works in the 'other' world - no hacks or tricks needed. They always tell me that apple isn't doing it the 'normal' way... Well - it seems to me that the 'normal' way normally not works ;-)
The appstore of Apple is working fine. In the past, nowadays - and I guess in future too...
interesting and I know who to ask. I have loaded it fine on 4 devices, no issues or errors to date.
Anton, if you read the news in the last couple of weeks, you will find that the iTunes store is not working either. Still waiting for the Sonos app to appear a week later.
Chris, I am sure it works great if it works. However, there is no fallback for the "we do it all for you" approach. A simple code download to PC would fix that.

Start - after agreeing to 100 pages of text - also okay.
Now in the shop where I can download apps - and it also works.
No problems at all.

yes, the 100 pages to scroll trough that Bernd mentioned are a pain, but no issues yet. Just works.
