... then just imagine yourself inside a Hurricane, right there. Hold tight, Francie.

I'm in Florida, so we're fairly used to hurricanes. Hopefully everything will be okay for her.

I always try to find a silver lining in everything, so for anybody reading this who is new to them here's my suggestion for how to "enjoy" a hurricane or tropical storm. If you've never been out in one, and can do it reasonably safely (no rocks nearby, etc.) it is worth spending a minute to actually go out in it. It is one of the most awe-inspiring things in the world. Yes, it's tons of wind and rain, as you would expect. But it never ends, and that's the part you can't really appreciate until you're actually out in the thing.

Nature is a wondrous, and dangerous, force. Best of wishes to her and everybody involved.

Ever since I met Gilbert , I just like to keep a few thousand miles between myself and a major hurricane.

I was in FL 2004 when we got 4 hurracaines over us , not good when light go out for 7 days in middle of agust.

Been there, done that. Three times & counting.

Not bad for me, very worrisome about the family.

Probably the most surreal thing about them is having the WeatherChannel on (by generator). So, it's displaying the normal weather update with the peppy Jazz music the background. 'cept the screen says, "you might die."
