Get you Google Music beta fix

by Volker Weber

If you have an Android phone, most likely you want Google Music. (App not available on iPhone). And we never had as many invites as right now. To sign up, you need to pretend to be in the US. Hotspot Shield is your friend. After that, you can use it anywhere.

Music Beta is currently only available in the United States".

@Michael: my invite failed in the same way when I used hotspot shield 1. I later stumbled upon hotspot shield v2.06, and got connected.

@Vowe: Could you add the version requirement to the Hotspot Shield tip?

Lars Berntrop-Bos, 2011-08-31 09:11

@Lars: Thanks, it also worked with the latest Mac version 1.582

I'm still not quite sure what the use case for Google Music is. I have 32GB on my SD card in my phone. That's a lot of music - not the whole collection, true, but a lot. I listen to music on my phone when I'm traveling - at home I have my stereo and at work my laptop (if at all). When I travel, often times I'm roaming, i.e. streaming is extremely expensive.

It all sounds like I'm not in the target group. Or am I missing anything?

Doesn't work for me, even with the latest hotspot Shield on Mac OS X 10.7

As most of my articles roll off the front page rather quickly, I am making an archive of previous posts available here. You can also use the handy search box at the top of the page if you are looking for something particular.
