Happy birthday, Lucy

by Volker Weber

Lucy is ten years old now, and she is looking as fresh as ever. And yes, she is still working.

And still inspiring.

How beautiful! Good design doesn't age. I guess one could call that a "classic". I do anyways.

My 13-yr-old son saw this post over my should, and immediately said "I've got to have that!". :-)

I have just given our 10 year-old 12" Powerbook G4 to a friend's 13 year-old son. That's also a classic which is still going strong. The only problem was that there is no version of Chrome for the PowerPC and that Firefox also stopped supporting PPC some time ago.

@John: TenFourFox (http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/) is a more than adequate replacement for Firefox on the PowerBook...

Frank Stoermer, 2012-12-23 02:28

@Frank - Thanks! Didn't know about that. :-)

As most of my articles roll off the front page rather quickly, I am making an archive of previous posts available here. You can also use the handy search box at the top of the page if you are looking for something particular.
