Pro Cam available for Lumia 9xx with Nokia Amber

As soon as your device is upgraded to Lumia Amber, a couple of apps become available in the Windows Store: Pro Cam, Smart Cam, Video Trimmer and Video Uploader. All of these apps launched on the Lumia 1020 in the US a few weeks ago. They have been updated since, but as you can see in the latest change in the store, they have been held back for the official Amber launch for other devices.

Pro Cam seems to be a lot more interesting than prevoiusly thought - lossless 1.8x zoom in video looks great to me.

Is it true that the lock code needs to be entered when using a third party app as default camera lens?

Ja, das stimmt. Nur die Standardkamera lässt sich ohne Code öffnen. Würde ich auch so lassen, weil die am schnellsten geladen ist.

I am using the Pro App as my default and I do not have a password, and I am using a Lumia 928.

Thanks, all :)
Not having a lockcode set is not an option for me, my whole digital identity can easily be broken up with access to the phone.

As most of my articles roll off the front page rather quickly, I am making an archive of previous posts available here. You can also use the handy search box at the top of the page if you are looking for something particular.
