the ability to modify or delete Your Files ?
Hum Hum..
@Dominique surely that's like any other cloud service which has an API to allow integration with 3rd party applications (Dropbox, OneDrive etc.)
I think the key word is allow "you" to give third party access.
Does Amazon create intel from the data? Or "just" services around it? I'm wondering where the business case is for offering unlimited storage for a dollar - whilst I can imagine various ones - does anyone know what the driving factors are? Surely it's not paying for unused storage, or is it?
Nobody stores an 'unlimited' amount of data. Pricing is probably based on average usage.
To me this looks like an invitation for bit of fun.
Sooner or later someone will write a script generating fantastizilion bytes of data just in order to check the limits of Amazon's unlimited offer :)
I'm not really sure what kind of data i would upload to test the "unlimited" aspect of such a service.
Physical and therefore also virtual disk space is so cheap these days, it has become a commodity and (i guess) a low margin business for service providers. It's not the storage but the services layer on top where the fun begins as you can see in this example:

Yep, the app really solves a "problem" (or provides some convenience by saving time) but would you really store any kind of sensitive data (i.e. personal documents and photos/videos) on a US cloud datacenter? You decide...
Five hours and twentytwo minutes.
Och komm, ich hätte auf unter eine Stunde gewettet.
Signed up with my german store account - no sign of the new plans.
Biggest option is still limited to 1TB - at 400/year...
strictly for private use though (as in "no commercial use") ... just sayin'
