Thawte Web of Trust Notary

Thawte will give you a free x.509 certificate that you can use to secure your internet mail by signing your outgoing messages and by receiving encrypted messages from others. You can apply here for the certificate. Click on the :join: button.

The free certificate is fully operational, but it does not have your identity. If you would like to add your own name to a certificate, you need to have your identity assured by a Thawte Notary like myself.

You show your ID, I keep a copy that you provide on file and we both sign a form (english/german). You need to fill in your details in the first box and then sign in the second. I fill out the rest. One we have completed the paperwork, I can assure your identity.

Interested? Send a signed mail and we will work out the details.

As most of my articles roll off the front page rather quickly, I am making an archive of previous posts available here. You can also use the handy search box at the top of the page if you are looking for something particular.

Systems Architecture

This site runs on an Apache web server on top of the Linux operating system. The content is managed with MovableType 2.661 which is implemented in Perl. Last but not least the HTML code your browser sees is put together with PHP.
