I am still here in cambridge ;o)
Thx. But I am ordering it through Apple here. I want a german keyboard.
Nooooooooo! I haven't had mine a month yet. USB 2.0! Bluetooth ready! Extreme! and G4! I can't stop shouting! I might start crying. Oh well. That's going to be a great computer for a little over US$1000. Want? You need one.
Volker,
Aren't we fickle. Last week a G4 PowerBook was the only possible option. Now a newer shinier thing is here.
I love this industry.........
The PowerBook is still shinier. But the iBook meets my needs much better.
It's a cool machine, but the display resolution would rule it out for me. I'll never understand why Apple doesn't put "real" HighRes displays in their laptops - even the 17" one only runs at 1440-by-900 (which I find pretty ridiculous, since even my 2-year-old ThinkPad does 1600x1200 on a 15" screen).
I guess that is a matter of personal taste. I prefer lower resolutions and bigger pixels. I think 1024 is perfect for a 12" screen. Even the 14 inch in my StinkPad looks better with 1024 than 1400.
I agree, it very much depends on what you're personal taste is. I think it also depends on what type of things you do - for developers who have lots of windows with tiny fonts open, a high resolution is a must ... also, you can specify a larger font size to have texts display at whatever size you prefer, a higher resolution won't hurt you there.
