Reviewing Tungsten T3, part 2

[continued from part 1]

Received a call from palmOne support. It turned out I had a preproduction unit that did not yet have the golden master ROM. We quickly exchanged a flash utility and two ROM files via my Quickplace.

I moved those files to a SD card, then flashed the two ROMs, first the small one, then the large one, and I am now on a production level machine.

After this ROM update I was able to install the patch that failed with the preproduction firmware:

if you enter shortcut .9 at the search prompt, the machine will tell you the ROM version. This is the production ROM level:

And this is the level you get after applying the update patch that failed for me at this weekend:

I trust we are now at a level that will not cause any major headaches. Going from the T to the T3 now. More later ...
