FairPlay is bad for everyone besides Apple
by Volker Weber
Apple would, if it could, drop the FairPlay DRM from tracks purchased at the Music Store. Right? Wrong!
Comments
This article really nails it. Apple only uses DRM to keep people locked into it's proprietary system. Granted, I still think the iPod is the best music player out there, but with things like PlayFair and Hymn out there, I can remove any copy protection and use any player I want. I should be able to play my music whereever I want without restriction!
