IBM Development Package for Eclipse

by Volker Weber

The IBM Development Package for Eclipse is an unsupported Eclipse-based development tool. It enables developers to build and run Java TM applications with its ready-to-run development environment out of the box. There are versions available for Windows 32-bit and Linux 32-bit on Intel (xSeries).

What's included in this package (beside Eclipse)?

As far as I can tell, IBM is providing Eclipse 3.0 packaged with their own JDK (IBM Developer Kit, Java Technology Edition, Version 1.4.2). No big deal, just one less download if you are not using Sun's.
