Don't try this at home

Claude Lelouch, "C'etait un rendezvous", 1976

From the Porte Dauphine to Sacre-Coeur in less than 8 minutes in a Ferrari 275/GTB. Top speed in excess of 200. Count the number of red lights the car is running.

[Thanks, Hajo]

Ended up with 16 red lights ...

For all of us fans of prudent driving, may I suggest having a look at some real traffic while executing a certain sportsmanship.... Ghostrider goes wild, GR the final ride or GR goes crazy in europe. Hold on to your seats! Don´t do this at home (or wherever).

Some pretty good background info: http://enjoyment.independent.co.uk/film/features/story.jsp?story=382314

He even had some sidewalk action thrown in there. That is some crazy driving. :-)

one of my favourite movies which i picked up on dvd last year - when you are playing it at home and its coming out of the surround sound its great. legend has it that they had some film left over after making a movie and it was just enough to do the run. who cares if that is true or not its appeals to the outlaw in all of us.

Look Mom! No brains!

And if you want it with two ego-shooters and lots of slow police cars left behind, check out "Getaway in Stockholm 2"!

Sick?
No!
Only bike messengers are.

UFB!!!

Wooh, nice run! Makes you also think about trafic in big cities.. this is 76, looks science fiction compared to today's Paris.

Makes me remember of my younger years...
and, of course, the power of love :-)

Ghost Rider sure does know his business, but he rides in Sweden where he´s the only insane driver. If you like to see some bike action amidst the crazy traffic around Paris, check out the Black Prince. Both are definitely no role models, although some bikers I encountered seem to have watched these movies once too often...

(off topic: Armin Roth? Aber nicht etwa aus dem Spessart?)

@Ludwig: You must refer to an old friend of mine, scaring the holy bejeezus out of the Fireblade-riders and R1-drivers in Odenwald...using an old-school 50 hp Yamaha XS 500 or something even odder.

@Jens: Sorry, wong number, that´s not me... There´s more of us out there...

Nota bene: Ghostrider does go wild in other places, oui, monsieur, c´est vrai!

Ahh, der Link ist tot...
Weiß jemand eine Alternative?
Thx, Flo

where is the video?

You can find the file here: http://brachistochrone.fli4l.net/rendezvous20_04.mov

Be patient, 128 kbit upstream.

Also to be found here (as long as bandwith permits): Rendezvous Racer

Florian Walter, 2005-01-29 22:06

so where do you get to see the movie on the net?

JIMMY Pound, 2006-01-11 00:15
