None taken, I'm sure. If you need a functional device, pehaps this will help?

It's even USB 2.0 (cm).

Chris, I can recommend this little gadget. It has a little display and if switched on while not plugged in to your PC's USB port, it works as a hotspot locator. It tells you the hotspots SSID, the channel it is running on, the W-LAN version (802.11b or g) and the encryption type (none, WEP, WPA).

@Ragnar: Very nice, but double the price and not really needed in my home environment...
