You've got mail

by Volker Weber

Lots of mail today. Let's take a look inside. Oooh, looks I am getting quite a stack of Christmas cards today. And also nice little presents. Thank you all! Very much appreciated.

OK, one was not really a Christmas present. ;-)

You are welcome :) !

Oh, you received an certificate for an Certified Advanced System Administrator for Lotus Notes and Domino as a present :-) ?
I have to discuss with our IBM account manager soon...

Dirk, you did not read the last line. ;-)

And I thought it was the package of chocolate, that was not a present. :-)

"100 Jahre ADAC", is that an official Deutsche Post stamp? Didn't know that there are special stamps celebrating companies.

Armin, the ADAC isn't a company.

I know, it calls itself a club. But as far as I'm concerned it acts like a company, it's certainly not a charity.

Armin, it doesn't have aynthing to with what they call themselves. They are an "eingetragener Verein" (sorry, neither the suggested translation "incorporated society" nor "membership association" feel right because legally an e.V. is much more than that) and as such are entitled to some privileges because at least officially they're working in the public service sector and aren't generating any revenues.
