Stan Rogers needs help
by Volker Weber
If you have been in the Notes community for more than a few months, you know Stan Rogers. If you ever asked anything on Notes.net, chances are that Stan helped you. Now it's your turn. Stan needs your help. Now.
Update: It looks like we have a job for him. Does anybody have any good contact details?
Update: We have established contact with Stan. I trust that all will be well soon. Thanks for all your support. On a side note, revisit Stan's site, read the comments, and find one of only two persons permanently barred from commenting on vowe.net.

Of course, what Stan really needs is a job. Hard as it is to believe that somebody so talented and knowledgable should have trouble finding work, that is the crux of the problem. Donations are good, but a job would be better. Does nobody need an immensely talented, resourceful, energetic, smart individual with years of Notes/Domino development experience?
and IBM cant do anything for his Notes Evangelist No.1?
Ah - I did eMail this to various people within IBM who I am sure would move heaven and earth to sort him out.
However, sometimes IBM is a large and ponderous beast, and if this was the only route open to Stan - he might well be in retirement before something actually happened.

I dont know the real reason why someone with such a knowledge has a problem to find a job or is running out of business.
Maybe it's a problem, that a lot of skilled people are having: Not the best "selfe marketing" (dont know the right English expression). I Hope the best for him.
Fantastic. All I have is the email address, and I've sent him this link. I'm trying to find somebody who might have a cell number for him.
Thanks very much for getting so many eyeballs on this, Volker.
Good luck Stan! My (long-winded) thoughts on this here....

Pimping your website again? ;-)
If I am, it's not working....;)
Well, following Ed, it looks like there has been help for Stan: "And though Stan didn't ask for anything, the response was generous and wonderful -- money, equipment, and a job."
Now that's nice and great to hear!
