Karim Morsy, Christoph Teschner and Federico Tessmann, three german students, have written an easy to use DJ application for the Mac:
djay is the groundbreaking new software for Mac OS X. It takes full advantage of Apple's latest audio and graphics technologies, and runs natively on both Intel and PowerPC processors. It supports all common file formats, such as mp3, aiff, wav, aac, caf. With djay you can control and mix your whole digital music collection with two realistic virtual, interactive turntables and both record and transmit the audio in real-time over the Bonjour network to other connected djays.
Three students from Munich, this is a nice tradition following the Coding Monkeys Martin Ott, Martin Pittenauer and Dominik Wagner, who are responsible for the collaborative editor SubEthaEdit.

Als Plus haben sie ja wohl einen der coolsten Domainnamen, die mir in der letzten Zeit untergekommen sind. Jah man.
Und funktioniert nicht mit gekauften Liedern.

Das muss man sowieso sofort entfernen. Nur ein weiteres Beispiel.
Ich schon soo lange auf etwas derartiges für meinen Mac gewartet! Yipeee! =) Kann kaum warten, bis ich wieder zuause bin. =)
Kann auf der Website aber nirgends eine Angabe zur Bezahlung finden... hätte erwartet, dass so ein Programm schnell 100€ kosten würde. Naja, egal, dann spende ich halt. =)

Auch ich bin von djay völlig begeistert und kann mich den Lobeshymnen nur anschliessen. Zu erwähnen gilt, das das djay-Team gegenüber Fragen und Ideen sehr aufgeschlossen ist und schnell antworten. Vielleicht kann ein vowe-Leser zu meiner letzten Frage an das djay-Team parallel weiterhelfen:
Meine Infrastruktur bietet u.a. eine AirPort Express Basisstation an dem ich mein Netzwerkdrucker und Aktivlautsprecher angeschlossen habe. Mit iTunes (nach meiner Kenntniss - nur iTunes) besteht die Möglichkeit eine drahtlose Kommunikation zwischen Mac und Airport Express aufzubauen, um Musik Wireless an die Aktivlautsprecher zu übertragen. djay hat diese Funktionalität zZ. noch nicht, da diese iTunes-Schnittstelle nicht beschrieben ist. Wer kann hierzu Informationen liefern?
