The worst thing: most mobiles would probably still be functional after this attack. BTST.

I find a full bucket of water on the front desk with a sign (arrow pointing to bucket) reading "ringing cellphones" usually does the trick :O)
I think its a fake... you can hear some people laugh before the teacher?!?! bash the phone to the ground. But the idea with the bucket full or water is very great ;-)
Fake I suspect, but oh-so-sweet if you could really do that.
However, the video is McMerican. If a professor really did that he'd be sued into oblivion -- probably for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder as well as the cost of the phone.
Really good stories don't actually have to be true. ;-)
Maybe showing this video before the first class session already does the job as well ;-).
