Hmm - I do understand your concern at these directions. I'm quite sure the roads from the harbour at Cork over to Dublin aren't so bad that you would want that rather tiring detour through France and England? Particularly after the swim.

Looks like I wasted all that money I paid for the ferry I was planning to take in two weeks. According to Google I can just drive straight over to Islay (#29: Slight left at Kennacraig - Port Askaig; 29.5 mi).
Why wasn't I told before?

Die Übereinstimmung der Route ist doch ziemlich auffällig. ;-)
Vielleicht zeugt diese Routenwahl auch von einem neuen Umweltbewustsein das sich in den USA entwickelt. Bei dieser Art zu reisen fällt deutlich weniger CO2 an als bei einem Flug über den Atlantik.
