ILUG 2007 Agenda
by Volker Weber

I have transcribed the agenda to an iCal file and imported it into Google Calendar. You can grab it from there as XML, iCal or HTML. You an also grab the original iCal 2.0 file here.
Be careful, because all times are GMT (+1 hour for DST) with timezone support. If you look at it while in CEST, all times will be one hour off. Quick check: the day starts at 9 o'clock in the morning.
Also note that first column does not mean room 1. The individual entries contain the room designations, but I can't make the events sort according to location.

Very nice job - thanks very much!

likewise , looks good. Looking forward to seeing you there .
That'll be really useful, thanks.

As usual - you do the things we would never even consider... Thank you vowe
This might be common knowledge, but I'd never done it before: I added the calendar to a Notes 6.5 client by downloading your original iCal 2.0 file and sending it to myself as an attachment to Lotus Notes. There I could view the attachment and import the desired appointments into my calendar.
FWIW, I first removed the lines beginning with /^TZ/ in order to have the entries made in "my" timezone. Thanks for the data & looking forward to seeing you in Dublin.
Jan-Piet, in case you've never seen my blog before, I try and help people learn to use Notes. For example, here is an entry about importing ics files as you mentioned above. Note: this has been improved in Notes 7.0.2 and greater... but it is still just a static import, not calendar synchronizing.
Holy cow. Could this be any more difficult? How about just one step: drag n drop your import file. All the entries get created. Don't want them? Edit / Undo.
The import in Notes 7.0.2 and greater is much better. There is no longer any need to attach the file and view it, and no need to accept invitations for each event, they are just created for you as you would expect.
@Alan, thanks: I do read you; it is just that I'd never actually tested an iCal import before. Even so, both methods are "suboptimal", but I hear what say regarding 7.0.2.
Brilliant .. worked a dream... I'll not need one of those printouts now that Bills been having such a time with :-)
