*cough*. Five musicians playing the same tune at the same time ? IBM ?

Five? Where?

Darren Adams, 2008-03-03

Cool, IBM goes community thinking ;-)
such Band Gigs I know from several Linux Events.

Henrik Heigl, 2008-03-03

@Darren: The 5th is the Project Manager, in the background. :-)

Gregg Eldred, 2008-03-03

@Gregg: You mean that booth-bunny?

Henrik Heigl, 2008-03-03

I thought the 5th one was the Mac version...they were just late arriving :)

Acually, if it was an IBM project, we'd have two musicians (down from five - cost cutting), four office support staff (to chase you), an Architect (conductor), a technical lead, one or two project managers, regional management, remote support staff in Brazil to deal with timesheets, IT support out of bangalore, and the equipment actually located in a bunker in the gobi desert. All on full expenses (aside from the musicians of course).

The musicians would have been instructed to upscale their instruments to IBM branded z-series ones of course.

And the local datacenter staff would have forgotten to plug the instruments in.

Can you tell I'm working on an IBM project right now?

Mmmmm... z-series...

Anyone else (from Germany) seeing a political statement referring to recent elections when looking at the flag that's flying in the background?

Ragnar Schierholz, 2008-03-04

@Ragnar,

That's a crash cymbal :-)

Bruce Elgort, 2008-03-04

Bruce, believe me, I've played the drums long enough to be able to differentiate a crash cymbal (or any cymbal for that matter) from a flag.

But I see that you are certainly not included in the "anyone else (from Germany)" so I guess you have to be forgiven. :-) It's just that in the recent elections in Germany the results were, to say the least, a little different than what would allow for the coalitions we had in the last 25+ years. And this South Africa flag nicely mingles all the colors of those parties as if it were to say: Pull yourself together and figure out a way to work together reasonably.

Ragnar Schierholz, 2008-03-04

@Ragnar - by "crash" I meant something else ;-)

Bruce Elgort, 2008-03-05

@Bill Buchan,

actually 1st Level IT support would be in Bangalore, 2nd level from Brazil ;-). The timesheet work is beyond me :) , I'd guess Costa Rica.
