Interesting visual search: Searchme.com

I am going to stick with Google, but this is an interesting approach to present search results. Where have I seen this interface before? :-)

If they want to be successful it needs to be way fester. Not responsive enough.

I can imagine, that there is quite a lot to calculate in the background. Problem is: The user doesn't give a ....

So as long as it's not as responsive as google, it's not going to be used.

I'm impressed with this - many's the time with Google, that I jump to a page and then puzzle as to why that page appears on the listings, since the reference doesn't exist there (having been moved off, edited out etc) - with this system you can see the relevance of what you are getting in advance.

It is not blindingly fast, sure, but it's usually possible to develop and streamline code for this kid of thing - I for one will keep it on a back-burner and be interested to see how it progresses.

They will need to extend their search database and make sure it is up to date before it is really useful. At the moment it is only finding a subset of what is on Google or Yahoo and those results are not up to date either...
